Happy Friday. I’m looking forward to Pour-a-Palooza tomorrow. Is anyone else heading to The Pour House tomorrow? I’ve got a few odds and ends that might interest you.
Jersey Bites brought it to my attention that 3500 pints of Jersey Fresh blueberries were donated to food pantries in Camden, Browns Mills, Mt. Holly and Trenton through a partnership between the New Jersey Blueberry Industry Advisory Council and Farmers Against Hunger. That’s so fabulous! We’ve got awesome farmers here in Jersey.
Next week begins South Jersey Farm to Fork week. I told you about a few weeks ago, but I wanted to remind you. If you’re planning on eating out next week, consider supporting a restaurant that supports are awesome Jersey farmers.
Sharrott Winery is holding a Tasting for a Cure on Saturday, July 18 from 6-8pm. You can taste the wines of Sharrott Winery and receive a tour of the winery, complimentary wine glasses and tasty hor d’oeurves and desserts. This event will also feature a Chinese auction with a dozen baskets of gifts. The winerySharrott will donate a percentage of any wine sales that evening to TEAM Mad Dog fundraising account. Admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased that evening.
