  • Don’t forget that GreenFest Philly is this Sunday, and the theme of the festival this year is sustainable food.
  • South Jersey Culinary Events will be hosting another Diner Under the Stars at 4pm this Sunday at Springdale Farms in Cherry Hill. Hors d’oeuvres and a five-course meal will be prepared by some of regions best chefs. Cost is $95 per person and you can BYOB.
  • pumpkin spice cookies largeMy seasonal recipe this week on MNN was vegan pumpkin spice cookies (although I un-veganized them with eggs). The cookies use all whole wheat flour, and my 10-year-old loves them.
  • The Collingswood Farmers Market will be celebrating their victory as America’s Favorite Farmers Market this Saturday at 8am with a press conference and a reusable bag giveaway.
  • You know we’re all about the food here at SJ Locavore, but some of the people in our region our hungry. Hop on over to John and Lisa are Eating in South Jersey to find out how you can help feed your hungry neighbors during Hunger Action Month.
  • I’ve been wanting to get to Flying Fish Brewery in Cherry Hill for some time now to take their tour, but I haven’t gotten a chance to. Jen Miller, who seems to be everywhere in South Jersey, took the tour and did a write up for New Jersey Monthly.
  • wall of barrelsFinally, I got to the Mass Stomp for Alzheimer’s yesterday at The Wine Room of Cherry Hill and I loved the stomp and I loved The Wine Room. I wrote about it over on MNN so if you’d like to know more about how you can make and bottle your own wine, check it out (plus you can see a picture of my foot in the grapes!)
