The Edible Jersey newsletter had a list of what foods are in season right now. It may seem like there isn’t much, but take a look at this list.

WHAT’S FRESH; WHAT’S LOCAL Apples, Arugula, Basil, Beets, Cabbage, Cilantro, Collards, Cranberries, Cucumbers, Dill, Eggplant, Endive & Escarole, Kale, Leeks & Green Onions, Lettuces, Parsley, Peppers, Radishes, Spinach, Squash, Sweet Corn, Sweet potatoes, Swiss Chard,  Turnips, White Potatoes.

I’m curious about the basil, cucumbers, eggplant and sweet corn. I didn’t think they were in season right now. Anyone have information on that?
