Mark these dates on your calendars. The summer wine festivals are your best way to sample many of our state’s amazing wines all in one place for a very reasonable price. Did you know that New Jersey wines took home 62 awards at this year’s Finger Lake’s International Wine competition. If you haven’t taken the time to discover what New Jersey wines have become, don’t  you think it’s time you did?

As the dates get closer, I’ll be bringing you more details about each festival, including participating wineries.

  • Blues and Wine Festival – May 29 & 30 (rain date May 31) – noon to 5; Natirar Park, Somerset County
  • East Coast Slow Food and Wine Festival – June 26 & 27 – noon to 5; Hopewell Valley Vineyards, Pennington
  • Jersey Fresh Food & Wine Festival - August 14 & 15 – noon to 5; Heritage Vineyards, Mullica Hill
  • Jazz it Up Festival – (supposed to be the state’s largest wine festival) -September 4 & 5 (rain date Sept 6) – noon to 5; Allaire State Park, Farmingdale
