Iron Hill Brewery in Voorhees is open for business

Last night I had the privilege of participating in the “First Pour” at Iron Hill Brewery in Voorhees. This is Iron Hill’s 10th regional location, and like all the other locations, they brew their beer right on premises – it doesn’t get more local than that.

I chose a glass of Mahalo, Apollo! for my first pour – A golden, complex and refreshing summer wheat beer. Spiced with Grains of Paradise and lemongrass. Fermented with Belgian Wit yeast. It was very refreshing. I toasted with Tara Nurin, beer babe extraordinaire, and met some new beer lovers that were a pleasure to get to know. I wasn’t able to stay for the dinner following the “First Pour,” but I heard it was very good. I’m looking forward to going back and having a meal and some special brews very soon.

Linda Arcero of Giggles, Gobbles, and Gulps has some more information about the evening on her blog, including some photos of the food. I’m particularly salivating over the blue crab quesadilla that I didn’t get to have last night.

Iron Hill Brewery is a great addition to the restaurants that have grown around the Voorhees Town Center (or, as those of us who grew up in the region will always call it – The Echelon Mall). It’s located at 13107 Town Center Boulevard. Reservations can be made on Open Table.

  1. I haven’t tried this one yet but will be going soon. We love the one in Maple Shade but love the closer option.
