Robin, I could lots to say on this, but I'll restrain myself. Go for it, have fun!

I put my lettuce, kale, peas, and radish seeds in yesterday in Kansas. It rained last night - perfect. All you need to know is to water every morning until the seeds germinate, if it has not rained. If the weather gets too cold again they just grow slower or don't germinate right away.

Hoboken, NJ- Hoboken Tours announces Mangia Hoboken! The Hoboken Food & Culture Tour. “We offer a weekly walking tour for small groups that features a behind-the-scenes look at the world-class food establishments which highlight historic Hoboken's Italian heritage,” said Tour Director Avi Ohring. “The tour will focus on family-owned businesses, where everything is still made by hand and you have a good chance of running into the owner. Compared to New York City food tours given in Little Italy or the Lower East Side, people will find this tour to be a more authentic experience.”

Highlights of the tour include Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop, home of "Cake Boss," the hit series seen weekly on TLC. Two of Hoboken's wholesale Italian bread bakeries will be featured, as well as a few establishments where fresh mozzarella cheese is handmade daily. There will also be stops at points of local historical interest such as the site of Frank Sinatra's childhood home.

Tours will depart Saturday afternoon from the Hoboken PATH station. The tour is about three hours in length and the $40 cost includes all food samples. Tickets and more information are available at www.hobokenfoodtour.com

Avi Ohring has been a Hoboken resident since 1986. As a lifetime member of the Hoboken Historical Society he has led numerous Hoboken House and Hoboken Secret Garden Tours.

Alison,

It was absolutely gorgeous here. I spent the afternoon in the woods with the boys even though I had planned on getting work done all day. Now I'm going to be up half the night, but it was worth it.

Philadelphia Slow Food would probably be closer to me than the SJ one that's down in Cape May. If anything exciting happens, let me know.

I'm with Holly, St Patrick's Day chocolate sounds great!

I don't know about South Jersey, but Kansas has been absolutely gorgeous this weekend. It's been really hard to come inside and do the laundry when I could be digging in the dirt and planting potatoes instead.
